Before there was YEBO®, there was her.
I grew up in Houston's Third Ward, where dreams often had to compete with the realities of poverty, limited opportunity, and the struggles of everyday survival.
My brother and I were raised by a single mother who didn't have much, but gave us everything she could.
There were times when the lights weren't on. Times when the water wasn't running. Times when the clothes we wore had seen better days. But through it all, she made sure we never lost sight of who we were or what we could become.
She couldn't change the neighborhood around us. She couldn't remove every obstacle in our path. But she could teach us to believe that our circumstances did not determine our worth—or our future.
And she did.
She protected our dreams when the world offered little reason to believe in them. She sacrificed so we could have opportunities she never had. She carried burdens we were too young to understand.
What we lacked in material things, she worked to replace with strength, dignity, love, and the belief that something better was possible.
We didn't inherit wealth. We inherited her determination.
And that changed everything.
BUILT FROM SURVIVAL. ROOTED IN LEGACY.
YEBO® was born from those experiences.
Not simply from a desire to create clothing, but from a conviction that the stories of ordinary people—people who struggled, sacrificed, endured, and persevered—deserve to be remembered.
Because our story is not unique.
Across generations, countless mothers, fathers, grandparents, and families have quietly made extraordinary sacrifices to give those who came after them a chance at something greater.
Some worked their entire lives without recognition. Some never experienced the opportunities they helped create. Some held doors open for the next generation that they themselves would never walk through.
Their names may never appear in history books.
But their sacrifices live in us.

When I look at a photograph of my mother, my brother, and me, I see more than a family smiling for the camera.
I see sacrifice.
I see courage.
I see a woman who refused to let difficult circumstances write the final chapter of her children's lives.
My mother is no longer here, but the strength she gave us remains.
That is the foundation of YEBO®.
A tribute to her. A tribute to those who came before us. And a commitment to preserve the stories that helped make us who we are.
